HTC has today introduced HTC One E8 – the polycarbonate version of its flagship phone HTC One M8 in India priced at 34,990 INR. The phone will give you almost same HTC One M8 functionality embedded in a polycarbonate dual curve design.
HTC One E8 comes with a 5 inch full HD display layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. The 441 PPI SLCD 3 display will be a window to HTC Sense 6 UI based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The processor employed is Snapdragon 801 quad core MSM8975AC clocked at 2.5 GHz. Qualcomm flagship chipset is one of the best out there and is complimented by Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB RAM. Internal storage is ample 16 GB which can be further expanded by another 128 GB using MicroSD card slot.
HTC has replaced its innovative ultra-pixel duo cam setup in the flagship version with a 13 MP/ 5 MP rear camera- front camera combination and both camera units can record 1080p full HD video.
Inside the dual cure polycarbonate body design, HTC has planted a 2600 mAh battery which will offer up to 26 hours of 3G talktime and 504 hours of standby time. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MHL, 4G LTE, GPS, GLONASS and NFC.
The pricing isn’t as competitive as what we saw on HTC Desire 816, but is very well justified by the hardware used inside. You could go for HTC One E8 instead of the flagship HTC one M8 and save some money. HTC One E8 will be more appealing after initial price cut.
