Alcatel OneTouch that made headlines few months back for the launch of its octa-core smartphone, Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ has come up with a Firefox OS based handset. Well, the vendor has launched the Alcatel OneTouch Fire C smartphone for a price of Rs 1,990. This smartphone joins the Spice Cloud Fire One FX1 and Intex Cloud Fx that also run on Firefox OS.

The display is 3.5 inches and it packs a HVGA resolution of 320×480 pixels. Under the hood, the Alcatel OneTouch Fire C uses a 1 GHz Spreadturm 6821 processor that is backed by only 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of native storage of which only a mere 65 MB is available for users. However, there is an option to extend this storage by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

Imaging hardware of the Alcatel OneTouch offering boasts of a 1.3 MP rear camera and misses out a front-facer. The connectivity aspects onboard are 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and there is a 1,000 mAh battery to pump in a moderate backup to the device.

The dual SIM smartphone running on Firefox OS 1.3 comes with a Adaptive App Search or Single Window Search and is pre-loaded with applications such as Twitter, Facebook and others. Also, there is support for languages such as English, Tamil, Hindi and Bangla.
