Micromax Launches Two 4K UHD TV Running Android OS Starting From 39,990 INR

Micromax has launched two new 4K Smart Televisions with 42 Inch and 49 Inch screen, running Android OS, at Rs 39,990 and Rs 49,990 respectively. Both can be bought from Flipkart starting March 12, 2015.

The 42 Inch TV sports a 3840×2160 pixels screen and is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. Chipset includes dual core CPU, dual core GPU, 2.2 GB storage and 1 GB RAM. There is provision for 32 GB MicroSD expansion too. Connectivity ports include 3 USB ports, and 3 HDMI ports.

The 49 Inch Model has the same pixel count, but is running more up to date Android 4.4 KitKat software. However, this might not matter as much with TV usage. Chipset is similar, but for 2 extra GPU cores to push all the 4K pixel frenzy.

You will have a dual core CPU, Quad core GPU, 2.2 GB expandable storage and 1 GB RAM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi Hotspot, 3 USB ports and 2 HDMI ports. If you wish to run high end Android games using this setup, you will need more horsepower and better chipset and perhaps MHL would be a better solution for gaming oriented users.
