Question – How is the Display on Canvas Doodle 4
Answer – The display is huge, as you already know. The display quality is however mediocre at best. The device has 960 x 540 pixel quarter HD display resolution, and on the large sized display, this results in soft texts, soft images and large fonts and icons. First time users wont notice pixilation, but display isn’t very crisp. If you are considering Doodle 4, it must be because you want a 6 Inch IPS LCD panel, and though it is not the best IPS LCD display in this price range, it is very usable.
Question – How is the Design and Build Quality?
Answer – The design is similar to Micromax Canvas Spark, but Doodle 4 is more polished. On the rear side the matte finish back cover gently curves towards the edges and the chrome finished edges, where hard buttons are placed are very slim. On the front side there are lollipop style capacitive keys underlining the display. A black strip is running around the display on all sides, which makes it look like an edge to edge display when the screen is turned off. The handset is very slim considering the large form factor and is easier to manage, as compared to what we had expected. You can remove the back cover, but battery is sealed inside.

Answer – No, the silver capacitive navigation buttons below the display are not backlit.

Answer – Antutu score on our review unit is 19888 and 55.7 fps on Nenamarks 2. The chipset has present in most 2014 smartphones and we have experienced it in several devices as of now. Performance in long run wont be a problem for basic and moderate users. If you like to experiment with several apps or engage in intensive tasks, Doodle 4 is not for you.

Answer – Loudspeaker is quite loud, which is a good thing as Doodle 4 is primarily a media consumption device. The speaker grill is present on the rear surface, which means sound can get blocked when the phone is resting on its back.
