Panasonic Eluga Switch With Reversible UI Launched At 19,900 INR

Panasonic has today launched, what it calls a ‘reversible phone’, Panasonic Eluga Switch, priced at 19,900 INR in India. Let me explain. Panasonic calls it a reversible phone because when you turn it upside down, the screen adapts with respect to the orientation.

This isn’t unheard of or even rare, as most phones with online navigation keys already offer this privilege. However, since dual JBL speakers are present on the front side, you can also attend phone calls in either orientation on the Eluga Switch. Also, the 360 degree interface can orient itself at all angles (not just 0, 90, 270 and 360 degree).

Panasonic also elaborates why this is a perfect fit for audiophiles. The Eluga Switch comes with 1.2W dual JBL speakers with HiFi audio, 3D audio technology ARKAMYS and DJ Mix music player software which blends well with the included hardware. A pair of premium JBL Headsets are also bundled in the box.

The fully laminated OGS IPS LCD display is 5.5 Inches in size and boasts of 1080p Full HD resolution and Ashai dragon trail glass protection. Eluga Switch is powered by 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

Other features include Android 5.0 based reversible UI,13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera with wide angle lens, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, USB OTG and 2910mAh battery. Eluga Switch is just 7.5 mm thick and weighs a modest 141 grams.
