At the official event, Micromax has today launched their latest phone at INR 6,599, named as the Canvas Xpress 4G. It will go on sale across the country via online retailer Flipkart from today onwards. This device competes with the likes of Lenovo Vibe P1m, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Acer Liquid Z530 and Intex Aqua Power HD. Micromax recently released Canvas Xpress 4G with great specs and features, lets find out if the Xpress 4g has something to charm us or not.

Question- How is Design and Build Quality?

Answer- Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G has a 5 inch display, and the body has sharp edges and corners, where the back cover has beveled shape at the sides, which makes it sit easily in the palm. On the front, the bezels bordering the display look broad. The body is made up of plastic which does not look great but brushed metal stripes on the sides balance the overall look of the phone. It is lightweight and feels convincingly solid in hand.

HDR mode works well, it captures a good amount of details and produces sharp images. Front camera is 2 MP and produces poor quality images in low light, it performs a little better in natural light though.

Answer- The gaming performance on this device is very restricted, you cannot run heavy games like Asphalt 8 or Modern Combat 5 etc. But games with light graphics run with ease and do not show any lag or glitches. This phone is definitely not recommended for gamers.

Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G comes at INR 6,599, there is a tough competition in this price range but the Canvas Xpress 4G has tried to keep it low and simple. This phone is good for those who spend a lot of time browsing through the internet and access multimedia content, it has average specs and do not offer much power for the aggressive users. The display quality is fine and the back camera is also satisfactory. It is a decent buy at INR 6,599, but you can have a better overall offering if you have a slight increase your budget.
