Samsung Galaxy Note 7 continues to be in the news even now. The latest Galaxy Note flagship from Samsung has been a disaster for both the company as well as its fans. However, today, Samsung has announced a good news for Galaxy Note 7 customers. The company announced an upgrade program for the Galaxy Note 7, revealing details about how this will be handled going forward.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Upgrade Program Details

According to the upgrade program, Samsung will offer its next Galaxy flagship to Note 7 customers. Called as the Galaxy Upgrade program, Note 7 customers who have traded in their Galaxy Note 7 for a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge will be eligible to get a Galaxy S8 or a Galaxy Note 8 next year.

While exchanging the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge for a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8 next year, eligible customers for Samsung’s Galaxy Upgrade program will only have to pay half of the price they paid for the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. Essentially, you can get the Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy Note 8 for around $350-400, depending on the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge prices in your region.

The Galaxy Upgrade program also includes 50% discount on display repair costs, twice. If you get your phone’s display repaired twice, you will have to pay only 50% of the cost both the times.

Revealing more details about the program, Samsung said that Galaxy Upgrade will be open till November 30 this year. You will have to enroll yourself in this program by then and exchange your Galaxy Note 7 for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge if you haven’t already. Customers who have already sent their Galaxy Note 7 in exchange for the S7 or S7 Edge will be allowed to enter the Galaxy Upgrade program. Such customers will have to file a retrospective application.

At the moment, the Galaxy Upgrade program is available in South Korea. Details about the program’s wider availability are not yet known.
