Nokia P1 With Snapdragon 835 To Be Launched At MWC 2017

After the successful launch of Nokia 6, the Finnish company is all geared up for a sound comeback. A new phone from named Nokia P1 is tipped by HMD Global. HMD Global is the company that has the exclusive license to create Nokia-branded Android mobile phones and tablets. Nokia P1 is expected to come with a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.

Last week there were some leaks regarding another smartphone named Nokia 8. Interestingly, it was also tipped to be a Snapdragon 835 with 6 GB RAM. Let us now take a look at the expected specifications of Nokia P1.

Nokia P1 Specifications

The smartphone can be similar to the Sharp Aquos Xx3 in design and build quality. It is expected to feature a 5.3 inch display with full HD or QHD screen resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. It will probably come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. 

On storage front, it can come in two variants, one with 128GB and the other with 256 GB. Nokia P1 is also expected to be IP57-certified for water and dust resistance.


Talking about the camera, it can be equipped with a Carl Zeiss 22.6 MP primary camera. It will be backed by a 3500mAh battery with support for fast charging.

Pricing and Availability

The Nokia P1 is expected to be priced around $800 (Rs. 54,600 approx) for the 128GB model and around $950 (Rs. 64,800 approx) for the 256GB variant. It can be launched at MWC 2017, next month, on 26th February.
