Gionee A1 is now receiving an OTA update focused on improving the selfie camera of the phone. The latest update allows users to capture panoramic selfies and shoot HD videos with the selfie camera. The 16 MP selfie camera is one of the biggest highlights of the smartphone.
The flagship phone from Chinese manufacturer has already received two OTA updates since its launch in March. These past two updates were focused on improvements to music, videos, selfies, the bokeh effect of the camera and support for multiple languages.
The latest update for the selfie-centric phone comes with more surprise for selfie lovers. The update aims to enhance the features of the selfie camera. Now, Gionee A1 users will be able to take the panoramic selfies with the camera. Previously, the panoramic feature was available only for the rear camera. Moreover, the update also lets users shoot selfie videos in full HD. The company claims that with the update users will get visual guidance to enhance their photography experience.
Gionee A1 Specifications
The Gionee A1 features a 5.5 inch full-HD display with screen resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The phone runs Amigo 4.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The smartphone features a full metal design and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the front.
Coming to the hardware, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. It is packed with 64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
If we talk about the camera, the selfie camera is the main highlight of the Gionee A1. It sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture, a 1/3.06-inch sensor, and a selfie flash. On the rear, there is a 13-megapixel camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash. The Gionee A1 was launched priced at Rs. 19,999 in India.
