Nubia M2 Play with 4G VoLTE support launched in India for Rs. 8,999

ZTE’s sub brand Nubia has launched the Nubia M2 Play smartphone in India. The latest phone from Nubia supports 4G VoLTE, features a fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The Nubia M2 Play has been priced at Rs. 8,999 and it will be available exclusively on Amazon India.

Announced back in June in China, it is the third smartphone in the Nubia’s ‘M series’ in India. Earlier the company had launched Nubia M2 and Nubia M2 Lite in India. The Nubia M2 Play is the budget offering from the company.

Design wise, the Nubia M2 Play is identical to the M2 Lite. It features a metal body with curved glass display and a 13MP camera at the back. The home button comes integrated with the fingerprint scanner. The phone is quite slim measuring just 7.9mm in thickness.

Coming to the specifications, the Nubia M2 Play features a 5.5 inch HD LCD display. The screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels  and offers ~274 PPI pixel density. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Nubia UI 5.0 skin on top.

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone houses 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the option to expand the storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

Speaking of the camera, the Nubia M2 Play sports a 13MP Sony CMOS sensor at the back with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and hybrid focus. It sports a 5MP front camera with 84-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.

The Nubia M2 Play packs a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and comes with Neo Power 2.5 technology which provides longer battery life with a perfect balance between performance and energy consumption.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, and GLONASS. The phone features a fingerprint sensor dubbed into its Home button.

The Nubia M2 Play is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will be available exclusively from Amazon India in Black and Rose Gold color options.
