Airtel 4G Hotspot has received a huge price cut of 50%, bringing the new price down to just Rs. 999. At this price, the Airtel 4G Hotspot can finally compete with the JioFi, which is also available at a price of Rs. 999.
Earlier this month, Airtel had slashed the price of its 4G Hotspot to Rs. 999 but this was limited to some circles like Kerala. Later, the price cut was applicable for other circles as well, but today’s announcement makes it official.
The Airtel 4G Hotspot is manufactured by Huawei and comes with a 1500mAh battery. Like the JioFi, the Airtel 4G Hotspot is also locked to the Airtel network, but now that Airtel offers 1GB per day plans to all its users across India, the company’s 4G Hotspot becomes an attractive and competitive option to the JioFi.
Airtel has also revealed that its 4G Hotspot can be purchased from all leading Airtel retail stores across the country. Additionally, the telco will also offer an option to purchase its hotspot device on Amazon India, the announcement reveals.
Ajai Puri, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Airtel said,
“At Airtel, our endeavour is to deliver great value to our customers backed by a superior network experience. Airtel 4G Hotspot delivers a superior multi-device online experience, wherever the customer may be, by leveraging Airtel’s pan-India high speed data network. What’s more, it now comes at a great price with some very affordable plans that offer large bundles of data.”
