Honor 9i Lite to be launched in India in January: Expected price, specifications

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has announced to release a new Honor smartphone with dual front and dual rear cameras in India. The company has not revealed anything about the upcoming handset in its statement, apart from four cameras. Going by the design and four cameras, we can expect it could be Honor 9i Lite which will be the toned-down version of the Honor 9i that has been launched with dual front and rear cameras.

Honor has unveiled the Honor 9i Lite in China back in December 2017. At the time of its launch, Huawei had mentioned that it would be launched in 14 more countries, including India. So, the company might start the global release of Honor 9i Lite from India in January.

Honor 9i Lite Specifications

The Honor 9i Lite packs a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The dual-SIM phone runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

It is powered by a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Honor 9 Lite packs either 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

Honor 9 Lite sports dual camera setup on both the front and back, as mentioned. The smartphone sports a 13MP primary camera with a 2MP secondary camera at both rear and front. The rear camera also offers PDAF and LED flash.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB with OTG support. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor. The phone packs a 3000mAh battery that can deliver a talk time of up to 20 hours and a standby time of up to 24 days as per the company.

Honor 9i Lite Price

Honor 9 Lite price in China starts at CNY 1,199 (Rs. 11,720 approx.) for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant while the 4GB RAM/32GB storage option costs CNY 1,499 (Rs. 14,650 approx.). The 4GB RAM/64GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 17,600).
