Motorola today announced the expansion of its Moto retail footprint in India by opening 50 more Moto Hubs in New Delhi. Moto Hub is a one stop destination for customers to experience the Motorola devices and get a hands-on demo of all the Motorola products. Motorola has also announced that the Moto Hub stores will reach 100+ cities across India in the second phrase.
Delhi is one of the biggest smartphone markets in India and so Motorola is expanding its offline presence there. According to GKF, out of the total estimated sales in India, which are 7 million units per month, Delhi contributes about 8-9% to it.
Sudhin Mathur, Managing Director, Motorola Mobility India said while announcing “Offering premium customer experiences is a pillar of our strategy. More than two-thirds of the smartphone customers make their purchase at retail, however, while there is access; experience has been a pain point for most of the buyers.
Moto Hub addresses this need of customers by offering a platform to interact, engage and purchase. Encouraged by the customer response, we have accelerated the retail expansion significantly to ensure that we are present where our customers want us to be.”
Motorola last year had announced a partnership with Poorvika Mobiles across 43 cities in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, and Karnataka. Motorola has also partnered with Big C and Lot Mobile to open more stores across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
These Moto Hubs will provide an easy access to customers with wide range of Moto products. The Moto Hub stores are not limited to the Motorola smartphones, it will also provide a hands-on experience for the Moto Mods and other Motorola accessories.
