The Realme brand is separated from Oppo. The brand has now teased the launch of its second smartphone Realme 2 after the Realme 1 launch back in May. The teaser with title ‘A Notch Above’ was spotted on Realme’s website which revealed the Realme 2’s design.
As per the official teaser which is now taken down, the new Realme device will sport a notch display and the same diamond cut back design as Realme 1. This time, the phone will also sport a horizontal dual rear camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Realme 2 Teaser
Going by the teaser image, the Realme 2 will look quite similar to the Oppo F7 and the recent Oppo F9, with some differences. This also suggests that the Realme 2 could also have the same specs as well, and Mediatek Helio P60 is expected in this device too.
To recall, the first Realme smartphone was launched back in May. The Realme 1 sports a 6-inch FHD+ display, an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM, a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera both with f/2.2 aperture, and a 3410mAh battery. The Realme 1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0 skin on top.
The Realme 1 price in India starts at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The phone is currently sold in Diamond Black, Moonlight Silver, and Solar Red color options. While the new Realme 2 can be seen in a new Blue color option as well.
Apart from these design changes, no other specifications or features have been revealed yet via the teaser image. The information around the launch date and pricing is also not available. We can expect Realme 2 to be launched in India very soon and as soon as it goes official, we will update you.
