Samsung has just announced its first Android Go smartphone Galaxy J2 Core. The first Android Go edition smartphone from Samsung runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) out-of-the-box and it is coming to India and Malaysia as of now.
Samsung‘s new budget phone comes with features like 5-inch qHD display, Exynos 7570 Quad-Core processor with 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. The pricing of the smartphone has not been revealed yet.
Samsung Galaxy J2 Core Specifications
If we talk about full specifications, the Galaxy J2 Core comes with a 5-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) TFT display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Exynos 7570 processor with Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. Memory wise, it packs 1GB RAM and 8GB storage which is expandable.
As mentioned earlier, the smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) with several pre-installed features. In the camera department, it sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture. There is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The dual-SIM phone has several connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and GPS. It is powered by a 2600mAh battery. The phone also sports 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. Dimensions of the phone 143.4 x 72.1 x 8.9mm and its weight is 154g. It doesn’t have a Fingerprint sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core comes in Golden color option. It is currently available in Malaysia and India from today, August 24 itself. Samsung also plans to expand it to other markets soon. The price of the smartphone is not yet known which we will update as soon as it is revealed. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 7,000 in India.
