Meizu 16th with Snapdragon 845, in-display fingerprint sensor launched in India: Price, specifications

Chinses smartphone maker Meizu launched its latest flagship Meizu 16th in India today. The highlights of the phone are Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB RAM, FHD+ 18:9 display, dual rear cameras, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Meizu 16th Price in India

The Meizu 16th is priced at Rs. 39,999 in India for the lone 8GB/128GB variant. It comes in Midnight Black and Moonlight White color options and will go on sale via Amazon India very soon. Jio users will get Rs. 2200 cashback and 100GB additional data after buying this phone.

The Meizu 16th has a 3D glass back with ceramic texture. Up front, there is a 6-inch FHD+(1080 × 2160 pixels) Super AMOLED display from Samsung with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It also sports 91.18% screen-to-body ratio with 1.43mm bezels and 5.74mm chin.

Under the hood, it is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU. It also comes with a custom copper cooling tube to prevent heating. Memory wise, it packs 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage.

IN terms of camera, the smartphone has a dual rear camera set up with a 12MP primary Sony IMX380 sensor with wide angle lens, 1.55μm pixel size, and f/1.8 aperture. It also supports 4-axis OIS, PDAF, and Laser auto-focus as well. There is a 20MP secondary telephoto lens with Sony IMX350 sensor, f/2.6 aperture, and 6-LED ring LED flash. It sports a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, AI face unlock and AI beauty recognition.

The Dual SIM phone has connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 2 x 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Flyme OS on top. It packs a 3010mAh battery with mCharge fast charging support that can charge the phone from 0 to 67% in just 30 minutes.

It sports an in-display fingerprint sensor that has a high (99.12%) recognition rate so it can unlock the phone in just 0.25 seconds. The device also sports a 3.5mm audio jack and dual speakers for surround sound. Dimensions of the phone are 150.5×73.2×7.3mm and its weight is 152g.
