Sharp AQUOS R3 has a QHD+ 120Hz display, dual-notch design, Snapdragon 855 and more

Sharp AQUOS R3 is a new smartphone from the Japanese company that comes with some very impressive features. The smartphone comes with a Quad HD+ display with 120GHz refresh rate, is powered by Snapdragon 855 with 6GB RAM, runs Android Pie, and has dual rear cameras. It has a dual-notch design with a dewdrop notch at the top of the display and wide notch for the fingerprint sensor at the bottom.

SHARP AQUOS R3 Specifications

The Sharp AQUOS R3 sports a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ (3120 × 1440 pixels) IGZO LCD display with the 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Snapdragon 855 7nm processor with Adreno 640 GPU and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. It packs 64GB storage that is expandable up to 512GB.

In terms of camera, the dual rear camera set up has a 12.2MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, 78° wide-angle lens, OIS, and a 20.1MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture, 125° ultra-wide lens. There is a 16.3MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, 3.5mm jack, and USB Type-C. It has a 3,200mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support.


Price, availability

The company has not announced the SHARP AQUOS R3 price yet. The phone will come in Premium Black, Platinum White, Elegant Green, Pink Amethyst, and Luxury Red colors. It will be available through all the major carriers in Japan very soon.
