After teasing that a new 48MP camera phone is coming to India, Xiaomi has confirmed it is Redmi Note 7S and will be launched on May 20. The Redmi India twitter account posted the launch event poster hinting that Redmi Note 7S is coming with 48MP dual rear cameras.
This will be the second phone from the company that will come with a 48MP camera in India. Since the company has used a hashtag ’48MPForEveryone’, the Redmi Note 7S could be a budget phone.

Redmi Note 7S Specifications
We also expect that it could be a rebranded and improvised version of Redmi Note 7. Because in the Redmi Note series, only Redmi Note 7 Pro has been selling like a hot cake because of its camera. So, the company might launch Redmi Note 7 as 7S.
Redmi Note 7S Design, Display
If our speculations become true, the Redmi 7S will come with a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340X1080 pixels) dot notch display with Gorilla Glass protection. It will also sport the gradient glass back just like two other phones in the series.
Redmi Note 7S Processor
Under the hood, it could be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with up to 4GB RAM. It will come with up to 64GB storage that will also be expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD slot.
Redmi Note 7S Cameras
In terms of camera, it will come with a dual rear camera set up that will include a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary depth camera. There could be a 13MP selfie camera with f/1.7 aperture.
Battery and Connectivity
The smartphone will be running on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10. Connectivity options will include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wifi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/AGPS/GLONASS, and USB Type C. It will also pack a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support.
Redmi 7S Price in India
If it is rebranded Note 7, the pricing should also be the same. So Redmi 7S price in India could start at Rs. 9,999 and go up to Rs. 11,999.
