8 New Features Redmi Note 8 Pro Brings to Redmi Note Series

Redmi Note 8 Pro is now available in India. The successor of the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes within just eight months but it packs some major upgrades like 64MP quad-camera set up. Redmi Note 8 Pro is also the first phone to feature Mediatek’s gaming-focused Helio G90T processor.

Xiaomi has always been providing new features to the Redmi Note series. To recall, Redmi Note 5 Pro came with a dual-camera setup and Redmi Note 7 Pro brought 48-megapixel cameras. Redmi Note 8 Pro is no exception in the series.

Apart from introducing a Quad camera, Xiaomi is also offering more new features with Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Redmi Note 8 Pro New Features

New Design

Redmi Note 8 Pro

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a new 4-sided curved glass design with a new gradient on the back. Though Xiaomi introduced glass back with the Redmi Note 7 series, this curved design was not seen on a Redmi Note series device before.

IP52 Rating

Xiaomi now offers splash-resistant P2i nano-coating with most of its phones. However, Redmi Note 8 Pro takes it a step forward and comes with an IP52 rating along with P2i coating, which makes it more resistant to water and dust.

HDR Display

Redmi Note 8 Pro also sports an HDR-enabled display which is first for the Redmi Note series.

Self-cleaning Speakers

Xiaomi has also introducing self-cleaning speaker technology on the Redmi Note 8 series that removes obstructions and dust from the speakers by producing low-frequency sound waves.

Liquid Cooling

Redmi Note 8 Pro is also the first phone in its price segment that comes with LiquidCool technology. The tech helps to keep the temperature low by 4-6 degrees and offers a smooth gameplay experience.

UFS 2.1 Storage

Xiaomi has also brought faster UFS 2.1 storage to the series with the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Fast Charger in the box

Xiaomi is also offering an 18W fast charger in the box with Redmi Note 8 series. This is the first time Xiaomi is bundling a fast charger with a Redmi Note series device.

960fps Slow-mo

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with 960 fps slo-mo video recording support which is again a first for a Redmi Note series device.

Apart from this, the Indian version of Redmi Note 8 Pro also comes with some first-time features like Alexa integration, dedicated SIM card, and microSD card slots.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India starts at Rs 14,999 for the 6GB +64GB model and goes up to Rs 17,999 for the 8GB +128GB model. The phone will go on sale again tomorrow on October 22 from Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
