Oppo’s ColorOS 7 has been tested to be launched later this month at an event. The new OS is going to be based on Android 10 so it will come with Android 10 exclusive features. Being a custom UI, ColorOS 7 will come with some exclusive features as well, like a game booster and a new voice assistant.

The new ColorOS 7 will be coming to all the Oppo and Realme smartphones but in the first phase, only a few Oppo and Realme smartphones will get the update. Here are all the features which you will get in the next version of ColorOS.

Stock User Interface

ColorOS 7 is going to feature a better and a minimalistic user interface which will look more like the MIUI by Xiaomi. The icons have been redesigned to look different from before. The toggles and pop up menus are different too. There will be an app drawer too so if you like an app drawer on your phone then you get that too.

Breeno Smart Voice Assistant

Oppo is developing their smart voice assistant called Breeno which will replace the Google Assistant in Oppo smartphones. The new assistant will only be available in China and won’t be coming to the Indian ColorOS 7 update. Neither of Oppo or Realme smartphones in India will get this assistant in the update.

Improved RAM Management

Oppo will be improving the RAM management in the ColorOS 7 to get smoother and faster multitasking. This means the smartphones with lesser RAM will also run smoother and multitask faster than before. This is another hint that the ColorOS 7 will have near to the stock user interface and contain lesser bloatware.

Portrait Mode 2.0

The Portrait mode is kind of an essential camera feature on every smartphone so Oppo is working on to make the Portrait mode even better. The Portrait Mode 2.0 will be integrated into the new ColorOS 7 stock camera app. The new Portrait mode 2.0 will come with better edge detection to get better bokeh effect in the pictures.

More features

There will be some miscellaneous features in the new ColorOS which you might be waiting for to come on your phone. These features are; Focus mode which is just like the Zen mode in OxygenOS, the phone will switch to Auto mode automatically when connected to the car’s Bluetooth, The touch response has been upgraded to at least 19 per cent faster.

When the ColorOS 7 update is coming?

The update is rolling soon to all the Oppo and Realme devices starting in Q1 of December. Oppo smartphones wil be the first to get the ColorOS 7 update then it will be rolling out for the Realme devices. The smartphone will get the Android 10 as a base for the ColorOS 7 update.

The only thing which keeps some consumers to buy the device from Oppo or realme is the ColorOS and its bloatware. If the new ColorOS version will get rid of this annoying stuff and give users a better experience then people will change their perception toward their devices.
