Realme 5i India Launch on January 9: Full Specs, Price & Availability

Realme has introduced a new smartphone in the Realme 5 series in Vietnam dubbed as Realme 5i. The company is now planning to bring it to India on January 9. The new Realme phone comes with a new design unlike the crystal design on previous Realme 5 series phones and the company is calling it Sunrise design. The specs of the new Realme 5i are similar to Realme 5s which was launched in India back in November last year.

Design & Display

The new Realme 5i comes with a new Sunrise design which is not glossy like previous Realme phones. Rather it has a matte-like finish on the back in a polycarbonate body and comes in Blue and Green colors. Dimensions of the phone are 165.4 x 75.6 x 9.3 mm and its weight is 198g.

Talking about the display, it will sport a 6.5-inch HD+(1600 x 720 pixels) mini-drop display. The display will also come with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.

Hardware & Software

The device is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm processor with Adreno 610 GPU. It is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB with microSD. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9 Pie.


Cameras

The quad-camera setup on the back of the phone has a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, EIS, an 8MP 118° ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP camera for 4cm macro shots. There is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.

Battery & Connectivity

The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. Connectivity features on the phone include 3.5mm audio jack, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and Micro USB.

Price & Availability

Realme 5i is priced at 3690000 VDN (Rs. 11,500 approx.) in Vietnam. But it should be priced around Rs. 9999 when it is launched in India. The phone is already on sale in Vietnam and will soon be available in India on Flipkart after the official launch on Thursday.
