OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro Launching on April 14: Full Specs, Price & Availability Details

OnePlus is all set to launch its new flagship OnePlus 8 series on April 14. Now, a few days ahead of the official launch, the alleged pricing of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have leaked online. Moreover, the specs of the OnePlus 8 series have already leaked last month, and now again their full specs sheets alongside pricing leaked with the courtesy of a Slovakian retailer.

Update: Now, a live image of OnePlus 8 Pro has surfaced online. The ‘about phone’ screen of the phone can be seen in the image shared by a user on Chinese social media Weibo. The image shows its key specs which are not new to us and it only confirms the things that we already know.

It reveals some important specs, like the 6.78-inch Fluid AMOLED display, capable of operating at 120Hz, Snapdragon 865 chipset, 12GB+256GB memory configuration, 48MP+48MP+8MP+5MP rear camera setup, and Hydrogen OS on top of Android 10.

OnePlus 8 Series Price

As suggested by the leak, OnePlus will follow its trend of pricing new flagships higher than the previous ones. The leak says that the OnePlus 8 price will start at €729 (Rs. 60,768 approx.) for the 8GB+128GB model while the 12+256GB model will cost €835 (Rs. 69,416 approx.).

The OnePlus 8 Pro price will start at €930 (Rs. 77,534 approx.) for the 8GB+128GB model while its top 12GB+256GB model will cost €1,020 (Rs. 84,841 approx.).

Both models of OnePlus 8 series are expected to go on sale from April 30.

OnePlus 8, 8 Pro Full Specs

As per the leak, the OnePlus 8 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While the OnePlus 8 will pack a 6.55-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Both the phones will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and 3D Gorilla Glass protection.

Both the phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and these will be paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. The smartphones will run on the latest version of OxygenOS based on Android 10.

In terms of camera, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a quad rear camera setup with a new 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor, a 48MP Sony IMX586 ultrawide sensor, an 8MP telephoto offering 30X digital zoom, and  5MP color filter camera.

The OnePlus 8 will sport a triple camera setup at the back with a 48MP Sony IMX586, a 16MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. Both phones will have a 16MP selfie shooter with a Sony IMX471 sensor.

On the connectivity front, the phones will come with WiFi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB-C port. These will also feature stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support and the 8 Pro will come with 3D Audio Zoom.

The OnePlus 8 will pack a 4,300 mAh battery, while the Pro version will pack a 4510mAh battery, both will come with 30W Warp Charge 30T support. The 8 Pro will also support 30W wireless charging, and 3W reverse wireless charging as well.

Dimensions of OnePlus 8 will be 160.2 x 72.9 x 8.0mm, while 8 Pro will measure 165.3 x 74.4 x 8.5mm. The weight of OP 8 will be 180g and 8 Pro will be 199g.
