Redmi Note 9 Vs Realme Narzo 10: Which One Should You Buy?

Xiaomi released a new member in the Note series in India which was already released in other markets. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a great smartphone that starts at Rs 11,999. The Narzo 10 from Realme already got this price tag filled but if this new release from Xiaomi can dethrone it? Let’s find out which smartphone you should buy if you have Rs 11,999 with you.

Redmi Note 9 Vs Narzo 10

Design and Build

The Redmi Note 9 brings an Aura Balance design, it looks more like its big brother, Redmi Note 9 pro. It comes with a big 6.5 inches display at the from with a punch-hole design with a more modern look. The front and back of the smartphone are protected by Gorilla Glass protection. The real also holds the fingerprint sensor and the square camera design.

The Narzo 10 follows the Realme design and form factor with a waterdrop notch on the front. The rear panel is made from polycarbonate (it’s 2020!) and the camera module resembles almost every Realme smartphone. The display is the same size but it comes with a notch rather than a punch hole.

Display

The Redmi Note 9 comes with a 6.53 inches display which has a punch hole on the top left corner of the display. The smartphone comes with FHD resolution and comes with 450nits brightness which Xiaomi claims. This display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

On the other hand, Narzo 10 comes with the same 6.5 inches display but with HD+ resolution. The advertised brightness on this display is 480 nits which are higher than note 9’s advertised brightness. The protection is Gorilla Glass 3 which is also outdated. In conclusion, the display on the Redmi Note 9 completely overtakes the display on Narzo 10 so if the display is your priority then you know which one to pick.

Processor and Software

The processor in the Redmi Note 9 is a MediaTek Helio G85 which is paired with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Whereas the Narzo 10 comes with a MediaTek Helio G80 processor paired with 4GB RAM. Both smartphones come with a dedicated slot for expanding the storage via a micro SD card.

Both the processors are good enough to perform good enough in games and multitasking on the smartphone. The biggest difference in performance will be created by the user interfaces of smartphones. The Realme UI is a bit more refined than the MIUI in my opinion but you will get the bloatware in both of them.

Camera

Both the smartphones come with a similar quad-camera setup; both of them come with a 48MP sensor as the main sensor. Other than that, you get an 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor in both of them. One difference is that the presence of gyro EIS in Narzo 10.

The other biggest difference is in the front-facing camera; Redmi note 9 got a 13MP sensor while Narzo 10 got a 16MP sensor. The aperture on the lens is also larger on the Narzo 10 which will make the selfies brighter in low light conditions. Overall the Narzo 10 seems a better option when comes to the camera priority.

Battery and Charging

The battery and charging are similar in both the smartphones which is 5000mAh in Narzo 10 and 5020mAh in Note 9. The charging is 18W in both the smartphones only the name is different in both the brand. Both smartphones come with a USB Type C port for charging and data transfer.

Redmi Note 9 Vs Narzo 10: Conclusion

Both the smartphones are good when comes to performance, camera and battery but if build quality and display matters to you the most then Note 9 is the best option for you. The smartphones comes a similar price, Redmi Note 9 goes a bit higher because of a higher RAM size variant.

The Redmi Note 9 will go on sale from Amazon India from July 24, while Narzo 10 will go  on sale on July 21 via Flipkart.
