How to Delete Your Past Transaction History on Google Pay

If you use Google Pay for your digital payment needs, be it booking a taxi, paying at your favorite restaurant, booking movie tickets, or purchasing stocks. Anyone accessing your payment transactions can learn much about you, which is a big privacy threat. You can delete the transactions from Google Pay transaction history to fix this to some extent, as they will only appear in your bank statement.

Steps to Remove Your Past Transaction on GPay

While Google Pay offers an option to delete a transaction from your transaction history, the process is straightforward. Here’s how it can be done:

1. Launch your phone’s Google Pay app (Android, iOS) and tap your profile icon at the top right.

2. Scroll down and tap on Manage Google Account.

3. Switch to the Payments and Subscriptions tab and scroll to Manage Experience to access the MyActivity page of Google Pay.

You might need to authenticate your login via passkey or password.

4. Scroll down to view your Google Pay transactions.

5. Tap the cross icon next to the transaction to remove it from your Google Pay transaction history.

You can undo the move if you accidentally removed a wrong transaction from the list in a few seconds.

The selected transaction will now be deleted from your Google account and no longer appear in Google Pay transaction history. However, Google may retain certain information about some transactions to ensure Google services continue to work and meet legal requirements.

Wrapping Up

So that’s how you delete any specific transaction from your Google Pay payment history. This will help you conceal any transaction you don’t want anyone to know you did for obvious reasons, remove any failed transaction, and declutter your virtual passbook. If Google could allow the removal of the transition directly from the transaction history itself, it would make for a better user experience. Stay tuned to GadgetsToUse for more such reads.
