Repost is another app that allows you to share Reels on Instagram as well as WhatsApp directly. To get started, follow these steps as under:
1. Install and launch the Repost for IG app from the Google Play Store.
2. Copy the link of the Instagram reel and again open the Repost app.
3. After sometime, the Repost app will show allow you to publish it on your feed. However, be sure to click on the share button on top right.
4. Now, select WhatsApp > then “My Status” on the screen and voila: you’re ready to post.

Another way to do this directly from your phone is to record the Reels using screen recording. To do this, head over to your inbuilt screen recorder and turn it on. Then, go to the reel you want to record. Once done, stop the recording and share it on your WhatsApp status.

If you don’t prefer recording screen and would rather want to just download the video, you can do that using a free online tool. Just follow along:

1. Launch Instagram on your phone, and play the reel you want to share to WhatsApp.
2. Click on the three dots at bottom right corner, and then click on Share To.
3. Select WhatsApp from the share menu, and set it as WhatsApp Status.
4. Any of your WhatsApp contact can tap on the reel link and watch it on a browser, if they are not an Instagram user.
