Xiaomi Redmi 4A, 5 Reasons To Buy, 4 Reasons Not To Buy

To strengthen its lineup in the entry-level smartphone segment, Xiaomi today introduced its Redmi 4A with a price tag of Rs 5,999. The specifications are quite significant to make you attract towards the latest offering. The sales will begin on March 23 and the phone is exclusive to Amazon.in and Mi.com. So, in a segment, where there is a significant range of choices available, here are 5 reasons to buy and 3 reasons not buy the Redmi 4A.

Reasons To Buy

Hardware

In the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, you get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, with four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz. This is further coupled to a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The graphics are handled by Adreno 308 GPU. You can further expand the storage via microSD up to 128GB.

Decent Camera

If you like photography then this smartphone offers you competent specifications. The primary camera is a 13 MP, with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and LED flash, which gives quality output in vivid light conditions. On the front, you get a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, which also gives decent results. Though low light images will not impress you much.

Good OS Optimization

Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with MiUi 8.0 and Android Marshmallow 6.0. The combination of both gives you responsive and smooth experience, bu, heavy multitasking will not be very impressive due to the processor and RAM.

Design

Unlike most of the entry level budget smartphones, the Redmi 4A has quite an appealing design. Though you will not get a metal body but, you will also not get disheartened with poor quality plastic material, as the phone feels quite good and handy.

Reasons Not To Buy

Low RAM

With Redmi 4A, you get 2GB RAM, which means for heavy users, the experience will not be as per the requirements. Also, in case of heavy gaming and multitasking the phone might not work very efficiently.

Small Battery

The battery pack is a 3,120 mAh which gives you a decent phone life. But, it should have been provided with a bigger battery pack to give it segment leading specifications. Though you will get a one day battery backup with the present size.

Lacks Full HD Display

If you wish to get a full HD phone in this price bracket then Redmi 4A will disappoint you. Also, the manufacturer has not confirmed if the display comes with any sort of protection therefore, it is recommended that you should get it protected with a tempered glass if you buy one.

But, if you are looking for stand apart features then Redmi 4A might not be of your interest.
