HP launched a new flagship laptop Spectre 13 in India. It is claimed to be the world’s thinnest laptop with a thickness of just 10.4mm. It’s thinner than both the 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Air. It will be avaialbale from 25th of July with the price starting from INR 1,19,900.
It features a 13.3-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Laptop is equipped with sixth generation of Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and with Intel HD Graphics 520 for the best performance.
It offers 8GB of RAM and with an option of installing up to 512 GB of PCIe-based solid-state-drive (SSD) storage. It has a hyperbaric cooling technology that helps the device to draw cool air and directs it over the processor rather than just venting heat out, thus keeping the device cool with peak performance.
It also bears a full-sized island-style backlit keyboard, with dual HP speakers powered by Bang & Olufsen audio on either side. The Spectre sports a full-HD non-touch display and comes with Windows 10 operating system. It comes with three USB Type-C ports. The company also claims that the 4-cell 38Whr Li-ion battery inside the device can keep the laptop running for 9.5 hours on a single charge.
Spectre 13 comes with a copper design blended with carbon fiber. HP Spectre largely uses aluminium for its build but the bottom features carbon-fiber. Being built by using carbon fiber and aluminium, makes it lightweight and durable. HP has gone for piston hinge at the edge of the laptop, which folds flat to look like a hinge less design. The Spectre 13 will be available in a dark gray and copper color scheme.
Since a long time, Macbook Air has been the benchmark of thin laptops. But this time around, the HP Spectre 13 has taken the lead in the competition of thin laptops. The processor, the RAM, the storage and the gorgeous design makes it a perfect laptop within the price tag of INR 1,19,900.
