iBall Andi 4.5 Glitter is the new entrant in the popular Andi series which flaunts quad core chipset at a modest price of 8,299 INR. Getting down from the quad core high horse, the phone features standard specifications.
The display is 4.5 inches in size with FWVGA, 854 x 480 pixels spread across it. The domestic manufacturer has opted for an IPS display panel for enhanced viewing angles and brightness.
The processor employed is a quad core chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz. iBall has not mentioned further details about the chipset, but it is most likely to be MT6582 from Mediatek. 512 MB RAM is a limitation and you might hit memory constraints before you can derive the full benefit from 4 cores.
Internal storage is 4 GB and can be further extended to 32 GB using microSD support. The imaging hardware includes an 8 MP camera at the rear with LED flash support and a front camera for video calling.
The battery capacity is only 1450 mAh which is below average and rather disappointing. iBall has not specified the backup you will get out of this basic unit, but it is expected to be disappointing. Connectivity features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS.
iBall Andi 4.5 Glitter is a simple quad core device and usable IPS LCD display, but RAM and battery capacity will limit the performance. The phone will compete against phones like Intex Aqua i6 and Gionee Pioneer P3
