iBall launched a new phone, iBall Andi 5h Quadro, in India. Earlier last month we saw arrival of several budget android phones in iBall Andi series like iBall Andi 4Di and iBall Andi 3.5KKE , and this time iBall has come up with a Quad core device priced at Rs. 11,999. This is another addition to the overcrowded quad core devices in 10k to 15 k price range which come equipped with MediaTek MT6589 chipset. Let’s take a look at what makes this phone stand apart from the crowd.

This dual SIM phone has a 5 Inch display with qHD 960 x 540 pixel resolution. This gives you a pixel density of 220 pixels per inched and constitutes and above average display in this price range. Several smartphones like Lava Iris 504Q and Videocon A55 HD offer HD resolution at marginally higher price.

This phone is powered by a Quad core processor clocked at a frequency of 1.2 GHz which is quite common these days, but nevertheless a powerful processor at this price range. This processor is backed by 1 GB RAM which will ensure smooth UI transitions and lag free gaming. The internal memory of this phone is 4 GB which can be further increased to 32 GB using a microSD card.

On the software front this phone is equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly bean Operating system. The camera features of this device are quite admirable at this price range. It comes with a 12 MP primary camera along with a 2 MP secondary camera for video calling. Camera specifications do make it stand apart from the crowd.

Commenting on the launch of iBall Andi 5h Quadro, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall, said, “iBall Andi 5h Quadro with quad-core processor, superb screen and camera is designed keeping in mind the needs of smartphone lovers who need all – the speed, the power and big screen. Andi 5h shall suit the needs of all entertainment lovers and its ultra-slim design and superb features allow one to carry its experience everywhere and get addicted to it.”

The battery capacity of iBall Andi 5H Quadro is rated at 2200 mAh which will be sufficient enough to carry you through the day. Considering the hardware specifications this phone is expected to suffice for extensive gaming and will present tough competition to phones like Videocon A55 HD, Lava Iris 504Q, XOLO Q1000 and ZTE Grand X.
