Lenovo owned Motorola may soon introduce a new budget smartphone to the E-series, namely the Moto E5. This time the company is expected to make some design changes. The Motorola E series is a lineup of affordable Android smartphones.
Talking about the device, MySmartPrice has leaked an image of the unannounced phone, showing certain design changes. For starters, the front-mounted fingerprint sensor is now gone. Instead, it has been placed below the camera module on the back. Giving it a nice touch, the famous ‘M’ Motorola logo has been embossed on the fingerprint sensor.
Motorola Moto E5 leaked specifications
For the uninitiated, the Moto E5 is expected to succeed the Moto E4, which is a current budget offering from the company. While the specifications of the device are not yet known, a leaked image gives a good look at the phone.
The device is not bearing the front-mounted fingerprint sensor, which means it has been moved to the back of the phone, under the Motorola logo. With a Gold colour finish, we expect the phone to show up with a metal chassis. A single camera can be seen at the back of the phone.
Coming to the front, the Motorola Moto E5 seems to have a 5-inch display which can be an HD panel just like the present device. There is a flash to assist the front camera. Apart from that, the display shows the company’s stock Android approach for this smartphone too.
Other specifications of the device are not known yet. The current Moto E4 is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor, and we can expect a hardware upgrade on its successor. Also, since there is still time for the launch, the company may announce this phone running Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. For now, we can just wait for new leaks to surface and reveal more details of this phone.
