New Nokia 106 feature phone with long battery life launched: Price, specifications

HMD Global has launched a new feature phone dubbed as the Nokia 106 (2018). The new phone is a successor to the original Nokia 106 that was launched in 2013. It sports the same 1.8-inch TFT display with 4-way Navi Key and the same 800mAh battery but it promises 21 days of standby time or 15.7 hours of talk time.

The new Nokia 106 comes with a tough polycarbonate body that has in-built coloring through the material. Also, it has a compact design that makes it more comfortable than its predecessor. It comes with classic Snake Xenzia and other preloaded try-and-buy games like Nitro Racing, and Danger Dash etc.

The Nokia 106 (2018) comes at a global average retail price of US$ 18 (Rs. 1,299 approx.). It comes in Dark Grey color and will go on sale starting next week. The Nokia 106 price and availability in global markets, including India, has not yet revealed.

The new Nokia 106 sports a 1.8-inch QQVGA (160×128 pixels) TFT color display. It is powered by a MediaTek 6261D processor with 4MB RAM and 4MB of storage. It has a Micro USB port for charging and also a 3.5 mm connector.

It also features FM radio and a flashlight. It packs an 800 mAh battery that can offer up to 21 days standby and 15.7 hours talk time. Nokia also claims that the phone is can hold up to 2,000 contacts and 500 text messages.
