Samsung Z2, a Tizen-based smartphone was launched in India today at an attractive price of Rs. 4,590. The third Tizen smartphone aims at the entry level segment and looks to help Samsung regain some of its lost marketshare in this price segment. It comes with 4G and dual SIM support, with a 4 inch touchscreen.

The Samsung Z2 comes with a 4 inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of ~233 PPI. The phone is powered by a Spreadtrum Quad core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. It comes with 1 GB RAM and the internal storage is fixed at 8 GB, expandable up to 128 GB using a microSD card.

Coming to other specs, the Samsung Z2 comes with a 5 MP camera and LED flash on the back, in addition to a VGA camera on the front. There’s support for FM Radio GPS/aGPS. The phone is powered by a 1500 mAh battery.

Samsung Z2 Comes With 4G and VoLTE Support

Given the fact that 4G is gaining marketshare quite faster than anticipated, the Samsung Z2 comes with 4G support. The phone comes with two SIM card slots as well. In addition to that, the Z2 also comes with VoLTE support, so you can make calls via 4G without having to use any carrier apps.

The Samsung Z2 comes with some key features like the Ultra Power Saving Mode to help the phone last longer when the battery is low. It also comes with the S-Bike mode to make the phone easy to use while biking. Additionally, there is a new “My Money Transfer” feature that will help you make mobile banking transactions without internet.

The Samsung Z2 also comes pre-loaded with Reliance Jio apps to give you a premium Jio experience via apps like My Jio, Jio On Demand, Jio Beats and more. You can access the entire suite of Jio Digital Life services for free for 90 days.

The Samsung Z2 will be available in black, gold and wine red colours for a price of Rs. 4,590. It will be available in offline stores and online on Paytm starting August 29th.
