Xiaomi has added yet another router to its product portfolio. The latest Mi Router 3G is the successor of the Mi Router 3 and 3C. The newly launched router finally comes with Gigabit LAN ports which were missing in both of its predecessors. Xiaomi Mi Router 3G is currently available exclusively in China for a price of 249 Yuan (Rs. 2400 approx.).
Xiaomi Mi Router 3G Specifications
Dimension-wise, the Mi Router 3G is basically identical to the Mi Router 3 or 3C. The newer model features a dual-core MediaTek MT7621A processor along with 256 MB of LPDDR3 RAM. In comparison, the Mi Router 3 has 128 MB of DDR2 RAM, while the Mi Router 3C has just 64 MB (DDR2).
The Mi Router 3G supports dual-band (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) Wi-Fi. It supports a maximum wireless data transfer speed of 1167 Mbps (300 Mbps + 867 Mbps). While the previous models rely on natural heat dissipation mechanism, the newer one sports aluminum radiators.
Speaking of range, Xiaomi’s latest router has two 5dBi (2.4 GHz) and two 6dBi (5 GHz) antennas. There are two WAN/LAN (RJ-45) out port and a single RJ-45 in port. Each of them supports speeds up to 1000 Mbps (gigabit). An USB 3.0 port is also present.
Similar to its precursors, the Mi Router 3G comes with 1 year of manufacturer’s warranty.

The Xiaomi Mi Router 3G is presently available for purchase in China for 249 Yuan (Rs. 2400 approx.). As of now, there is no information about its Indian release date. The Mi Router 3C is the only one that is being sold in the country at the moment.
