HTC today launched the U Play after launching the U Ultra. This new mid-range device from HTC comes with a 5.2 inch full HD display and features a new Sense Companion AI feature. It is still running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sense UI on top. However, you can expect HTC to update the device to Android 7.0 Nougat in the near future.

The HTC U Play is a decently specced device, but the now-outdated Mediatek Helio P10 processor is disappointing to see in a mid-ranger from the company. With Snapdragon 650 range offering great performance at a very decent price, it would have been a much better choice for HTC. The device also runs on the more than a year old Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
