Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 Tablets with Android KitKat Announced in India

Back in June, Dell unleashed couple of new tablets called Venue 7 and Venue 8 based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Now, the firm has announced these tablets for the Indian market and they are available from the official Dell website.

When it comes to specifications, the Dell Venue 7 arrives with a 7 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and is given a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z3460 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. There is a 5 MP primary camera onboard the device and a 1 MP front facing selfie camera. Other goodies of the Venue 7 include 16 GB of native storage support, expandable storage up to 64 GB, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, optional 3G and a 4,550 mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Dell Venue 8 flaunts a 8 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. Under its hood, the device uses an Intel Atom Z3480 processor clocked at 2.1 GHz clock speed and comes with similar connectivity aspects, RAM, storage capacities and battery. In terms of imaging, the Venue 8 features a 5 MP primary camera and a 2 MP front facer for clicking sefies.

On the pricing front, the Wi-Fi variant of the Venue 7 is priced at Rs 11,999, whereas the 3G model is priced at Rs 14,999. The Wi-Fi variant of the Venue 8 is priced at Rs 15,999 and its 3G model costs Rs 18,999. Furthermore, Dell provides freebies worth Rs 5,000 including a Bluetooth headset and a power bank on the purchase of these tablets. But, this is a limited period offer and it is applicable only till October 26.
