Display and Processor

The Display is equally mesmerizing 5 Inches Full HD IPS LCD panel on both phones, amounting to 441 pixels per inches. Huawei Honor 6 comes with additional Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a fingerprint resistant coating which gives it an edge over Vibe X2.

Honor 6 employs homemade Kirin 920 SoC with 4 cortex A15 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz and another 4 cortex A7 ones clocked at 1.3 GHz, all assisted 3 GB RAM. Vibe X2 on the other hand is powered by MT6595 SoC which is also based on big.LITTLE architecture and features 4 Cortex A17 cores ticking at 2 GHz and another 4 Cortex A7 cores at 1.6 GHz, backed by 2 GB RAM. Both pack enough horsepower to smoothly carry you through your day to day activity

Camera and Internal Storage

Both phones are again very similar in this regards. Both rely on a 13 MP BSI sensor for primary photography and both have a 5 MP front shooter for selfies. Judging by the initial time we spend with both of these devices we would rate Honor 6 to be slightly better in imaging department.

Internal storage for Honor 6 is 16 GB and you can further extend it by up to 64 GB using MicroSD card slot. Vibe X2 on the other hand will feature 32 GB non expandable storage. If 32 GB is enough for your usage, this shouldn’t matter much, but for power users, Honor 6 will be more appealing.

Battery and Other Features

Honor 6 is powered by a large 3000 mAh battery with an ultra power saving mode. Vibe X2 on the other hand has a smaller 2300 mAh battery on board. You can separately purchase battery Xtension for 2000 INR which can improve backup by 75 percent, claims Lenovo.

Speaking of Xtension, Lenovo Vibe X2 sports a unique 3 layer design, which makes it look like a colorful slab. We liked what Lenovo is doing here and the innovative approach also allows for the use of clever clip on accessories like speakers and Battery Xtensions.

Both Honor 6 and Vibe X2 are very slim (7.5 mm vs 7.3 mm) and light weight (130g vs 120g) and mostly made of plastic. From the outside, we liked Lenovo Vibe X2 more, but that’s more a matter of personal taste. Software is Android 4.4 KitKat with heavy customizations on top on both devices (Emotion UI vs Vibe 2.0 ROM).

Conclusion

Both smartphones are impressive and stand out as great ‘Value for Money’ smartphones, and also, you are not likely to be disappointed by either one. However, On the inside, we liked Honor 6 to be better option out of the two with slightly better display, camera and performance. Looks are important as well, since our phones are our constant associates and Lenovo Vibe X2 seems to handle this aspect rather well.
