Xiaomi has released an Android 5.0 Lollipop AOSP build for Mi 2/2S. Surprisingly, this lacks all features of MIUI and is stock Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, the update won’t be available via official channels and Mi2/ 2S users will have to download and flash it on their devices themselves.

It’s not a complete version and yes there are several bugs as well. Also Mi 2/ 2s are 2 years old now, which makes them a rare phenomenon outside China. Mi 2 was introduced in 2012 and features 4.3 Inch HD display, 1.5 GHz Quad-core CPU, 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU.
