If you were one of the folks who couldn’t get their hands on the Meizu MX5 after it initially went on sale last month, now is your chance! Snapdeal re-opened the Meizu page for purchase earlier today and the MX5 is available for INR 19,999 although you better hurry because reports estimate over 3 lakh registrations already for the device!
For those of you who don’t recall the specifications of the Meizu MX5, it has a 5.5 inches Full HD (1080p) AMOLED display with Corning Glass 3 protection on top. Powering the MX5 is a Mediatek Helio X10 chipset (MT6795) with a Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage (the 32 GB and 64 GB variants are yet to be launched in India).
The MX5 comes with an impressive 20.7 Megapixel rear camera that has dual tone flash, and on the front, you will find a 5 Megapixel camera. You also get 4K video recording along with 720p slow-motion video at 100fps which would make for some very cool videos for you to show off with.
The battery on the MX5 is a 3150 mAh battery which should satisfy most users and thanks to its rapid charge feature called mCharge, the device can charge upto 60% in roughly 40 minutes. The Meizu MX5 runs on Flyme 4.5 which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and its unique layout will eventually grow on you. Another feature that one could get used to is the Fingerprint sensor at the back of the device, just below the camera, which also acts as an input-function to help you navigate when using the phone.
