Today Alcatel unwrapped its latest Android smartphone, the Flash 2 in India. It is the successor of Alcatel One Touch Flash, released in 2014 and it is sized smaller this time. The lower-mid range device will be exclusively available on Flipkart, priced at INR 9,299.
Alcatel Flash 2 comes with a 5-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS touch display with 294 ppi density, but this device is being marketed mainly as a camera-centric device. It features a 13 MP Samsung ISOCELL rear camera with phase detection autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and a dual-tone dual-LED flash. The front camera is dubbed as Profile Cam has a 5 MP sensor with LED flash next to it, OV5648 1/4 inch sensor and f/2.2 aperture on board for clear selfies in low light.
It is powered by 64-bit Mediatek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz with 2 GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM, Mali T720 GPU and 16 GB internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB). It is a dual-SIM smartphone featuring a heavy 3000 mAh battery for long lasting backup.
The Flash 2 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system without any tweaks and customs, and connectivity options available are 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity.

Needless to say, this device is a lower-mid range smartphone and the company has decided a much expected low price for the device. The Alcatel Flash 2 will be available exclusively on Flipkart in Volcanic Grey colour variant. It is expected to be available from next week at a price of INR 9,299.
