Xiaomi has been on a roll in India over the last few months. After launching the extremely successful and fan-favourite Redmi Note 3 last year, the company followed it up with a more efficient Redmi Note 4 earlier this year. In the entry level segment, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 3S, delivering extremely good value for money. The company today launched another entry level device in India, the Redmi 4A for Rs. 5,999.
Featuring a 5 inch display and a quad-core processor, the Redmi 4A is a cheaper version of the Redmi 4. It comes with 2GB RAM and misses out on the fingerprint sensor.

The entry level smartphone segment in India is fiercely competitive. While Xiaomi has been a very competitive player for a while now with its Redmi 3S, the Redmi 4A takes the fight to even lower price points. Offering a decent experience with its custom skin, the Redmi 4A seeks to build on the brand value of the Redmi series by targeting more people than ever with an even lower price.
