Xiaomi is launching a selfie centric series in India on November 2

Xiaomi India has teased their next product launch that is happening on November 2nd. The teaser poster clearly shows a lightning symbol that hints at a product with fast charge or quick charge and the caption hints about a selfie-centric phone. So, this could be a smartphone with the fast charge technology and a good selfie camera.

Xiaomi is touting this series as a selfie centric series. The Chinese company’s Indian twitter handle has posted a teaser with the hashtag #YourBestSelfie. It is expected that a new series could come out this time. As the company is hinting with the teaser it will be a selfie camera centric phone.

A few weeks back the company had launched the Mi Mix 2 in India. Also, this week we have been hearing rumors about the upcoming Redmi Note 5, the successor to the popular Redmi Note 4. However, this time, the company seems to be launching a whole new series. Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India’s MD also tweeted that “Brace yourself, the best selfie smartphone is coming soon! A brand new series.’’

Xiaomi Selfie Series

If we talk about the recently launched devices from Xiaomi at the global level, the company had launched the Redmi Note 5A in China last week. But since it is from Redmi series, the tweets may not be related to this device. Also, it is not having a good selfie camera, so it is surely not the device that is going to be launched.

One of the few drawbacks we have recently seen on Xiaomi phones this year was the lack of fast charging support. This time it looks like Xiaomi is finally going to solve this particular issue with this upcoming device as the teaser image clearly shows a fast charging icon. So, whatever smartphone the company is planning to launch it’ll definitely support quick charging.

India has always been one of the best markets for the Chinese smartphone maker after its home country. The company recently announced that it has sold more than 4 million devices during the Diwali festive season.
