Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S with bezel-less design expected to launch soon

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to launch a new variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with the name Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. While there is no information about the hardware differences, we surely know that the device will come with a major design change.

Leaked by a Weibo user, the unannounced Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will come with reduced bezels and a changed design overall. The difference in specifications of the Mi Mix 2 and Mi Mix 2S are expected to be minimal. Here are the details of the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Leaks

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S

To start with, there is no word about this phone from the company itself. The device’s design has leaked on Weibo and there is a possibility of it being launched before the MWC 2018. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is tipped to be a revamped version of the Mi Mix 2.

For the uninitiated, the Mi Mix 2 was launched as a minimal bezel device from Xiaomi but the chin-placed front camera made it slightly difficult to use. Now, with the new leaks, it is revealed that there may be a new device in the pipeline with a different camera design. According to these leaks, there’s a small cut at the top-right of the display.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is tipped to sport minimal bezels on all four sides, with the screen stretching edge to edge, eliminating the bottom chin bezel that was earlier there. Except for this change, there is no other difference that we expect to see on this device. With a toned-down chin, the screen-to-body ratio could be drastically increased.

The leak also says that the Mi Mix 2S will be Xiaomi’s first device with a Snapdragon 845 SoC. We do not think there is a possibility of this happening, as the Xiaomi Mi 7 is also expected around the same time and is expected to be the company’s first device to come with Snapdragon 845 SoC.
