Xiaomi has announced a list of smartphones that will get the latest Android update very soon. These 11 Xiaomi smartphones are confirmed to get Android Q update by the end of this year or early 2020. The list includes the likes of Redmi Note 7 series as well.
Google, at the Google I/O last month, announced devices that will get Android Q beta before other. Xiaomi partnering with Google, announced Android Q Beta update for its Mi MIX 3 5G, Mi 9, and the K20 Pro (China).
Now, the company announced that a total of 11 devices will get the Android Q beta by January 2020. Let’s check out the complete list of Xiaomi phones to get Android Q.
Xiaomi Phones to Get Android Q Update
The list includes Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, Mi Mix 3, Mi Mix 2S, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7. These smartphones are confirmed to receive Android Q update.
Xiaomi also announced that the flagship phones in the list would get the update by Q4 2019, while the mid-range phones like Redmi Note 7 series will receive it by Q1 2020.
This list is currently for China versions of these devices. However, we also expect global beta ROMs to roll out soon after China get the latest update.
Currently, all these phones run Android 9 Pie with MIUI skin. It is to be noted here that all these 11 phones are launched in 2018 or 2019 and several other Xiaomi smartphones launched in 2019 like the Redmi Y3, Redmi 7 series, etc. are missing on the list.
Xiaomi has had a good track record in terms of offering at least one Android update to every smartphone. So, all the Xiaomi phones which launched with Android 9 Pie will most probably get the Android Q update sooner or later.
