Mi Band 3 vs Mi Band 4
Mi Band 3 vs Mi Band 4: Design
Apart from the slightly bigger colour display on the Mi Band 4, the design of both the bands is almost similar. They come with a capsule-like device with light thin strap bands that sit on the wrist perfectly. The Mi Band 4 weighs 22g and the Mi Band 3 weighs 20g.
Both the fitness trackers come with a silicone band which can be changed if you want to use another colour. The Mi Band 3 straps can be used on the Mi Band 4 too.
There is a capacitive button at the bottom of the display to wake the screen and to select certain features on both trackers. However, it looks different with just a dot on Mi Band 4.
Mi Band 3 vs Mi Band 4: Display
The Mi Band 3 comes with a 0.78-inch OLED touchscreen with 80×128 pixels resolution. While the Mi Band 4 sports a 0.95-inch colour AMOLED screen with 120×240 pixels resolution. It also comes with 2.5D glass protection.
The Mi Band 4 comes with 77 colourful watch faces whereas the Mi Band 3 supports only three watch faces. With a coloured AMOLED display, Mi Band 4 is a better choice for sure.
Mi Band 3 vs Mi Band 4: Fitness features
Both bands offer almost similar fitness features. They show notifications, SMS, calls and app notifications on screen. They also track activities in real-time and also have a vibrating alarm, phone locator, steps count, sleep tracking, as well as heart rate sensor.
However, only the Mi Band 4 comes with a new six-axis sensor that offers more accurate and automatic swim tracking. It can identify different types of swimming styles.

The Mi Band 3 packs a 110mAh battery whereas the Mi Band 4 has a bigger 135mAh battery. The Mi Band battery offers anywhere 15 to 20 days on moderate usage. Xiaomi claims that Mi Band 4 will last close to 20 days on moderate usage.
Both the bands are water resistant up to 50 metres. Mi Band 4 comes in two models and one is NFC model that can be used to make payments. The Mi Band 3 has no such model. The Mi Band 4 also gets the support of Xiaomi’s own voice assistant, but it’s unlikely to come outside China.
Mi Band 3 vs Mi Band 4: Price
The Mi Band 4 price in China starts at 169 Yuan (roughly Rs 1,700) for non-NFC model and the NFC model costs Yuan 229 (roughly Rs 2,300). The price of Mi Band 4 is expected to remain similar when it comes to India. The Mi Band 3 is still priced at Rs 1,999 in India.
