Micromax Canvas EGO A113, Another mobile from Micromax was silently made available on online retailer snapdeal with a price tag of 12,999. Though there has been no official release from Micromax, most of the specifications listed on the website are similar to Micromax Canvas 2 Plus A110Q which is currently priced lower than the new Micromax Canvas Ego A113.

This dual SIM phone is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core processor which is most probably MT6589(if not MT6589M, The RAM capacity is 1 GB and the internal storage is 4 GB which is further extendable to 32 GB. Yes the chipset configuration remains same as what we have seen in most of the canvas series phones above 10k, including the very successful Micromax Canvas HD.

The display of this Dual SIM, Dual Standby device is slightly smaller in this one. It comes with a 4.7 Inch display which will be comfortable to hold for many. New IDC data does suggest that Indians are fond of large screen devices, but there is a vast section of people for whom one hand operation is a requirement. The display resolution is WVGA or 800 x 480 pixels giving you a pixel density of 199 ppi.

The primary camera has an 8 MP sensor and comes with LED flash for low light photography. A front VGA camera is also present for video calling. The operating System used is Android 4.1 Jelly bean.

The battery capacity is again what we have seen in most other canvas series devices. The 2000 mAh battery is expected to last one day with moderate usage. Connectivity features include 3G, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPRS, EDGE, 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS support.

Micromax Canvas Ego brings nothing new to the table. It offers similar features to Canvas 2 plus priced around 1000 less and for 1000 INR more you can go for Canvas HD A116 with HD display. The target audience with this phone will be people not font of larger 5 Inch Displays and prefer the more comfortable to hold 4.7 Inch ones.
