Western Digital, the HDD and SSD maker company, has launched its new WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD in India. This new solid-state drive is the successor to last year’s WD Black SN700 NVMe SSD. The WD Black SN750 SSD offers up to 2TB of storage and comes with an optional heatsink to maintain speed and temperature.
WD Black SN750 NVMe Features
WD Black SN750 is based on M.2 form factor and it is powered by WD’s 64-layer 3D NAND technology. The new WD Black SSD is claimed to offer extended capacity and double the storage density over its predecessor.
The 1TB model of SSD can also deliver up to 515,000 random-read and 560,000 random-write IOPS to fulfill the needs of data-intensive tasks, especially for gamers. It also offers high response rate when accessing multiple files in various locations and while saving in-game progress during gameplay.
Also, the NVMe interface is claimed to offer more than six times speed than the fastest SATA SSD by WD. It can offer up to 3470MB/s speed as compared to 545MB/s on a SATA SSD. It also brings the WD Black SSD Dashboard to optimize the performance for playing high-end games. Its Low-Power Mode helps limit power consumption.
The company is also offering a heatsink that is available for all the storage options except for the 250GB variant. The heatsink is designed to complement machines that have cooling technologies. It also offers passive cooling to the drive and increases heat dissipation.
Price, Availability
The WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD price in India starts at Rs. 6,929 for the 250GB storage option while its 500GB variant is available at Rs. 9,999. The 1TB model is priced at Rs. 23,999 and the top model with 2TB storage along with the heatsink costs Rs. 51,999. The SSD is currently available to purchase via Amazon.in.
