Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro Launched in India: Price, Availability & Full Specs

Xiaomi launched its flagship killer Redmi K20 Pro in India today. The latest Redmi phone comes with a pop-up selfie camera, 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 855 with up to 8GB RAM, and 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor in a triple camera set up.

The Redmi K20 was also announced alongside the Redmi K20 Pro. The lite version has the same design and features but it comes with Snapdragon 730 processor with 6GB of RAM and has a different 48 MP camera sensor, IMX 582, from Sony.

Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro Price in India, Availability

The Redmi K20 price in India starts at Rs. 21,999 for the 6GB/64GB model. The 6GB/128GB version is priced at Rs. 23,999.

The Redmi K20 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 27,999 for the 6GB/128GB version and goes up to Rs. 30,999 for the top 8GB/256GB version.

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will go on sale via Flipkart and Mi.com starting from July 22. The K20 series will also be available via Mi Home stores.

Xiaomi also announced launch offers for Redmi K20 series buyers which include Rs. 1,000 discount for ICICI Bank customers and extra data for Airtel users.

Redmi K20 Pro Specifications

The Redmi K20 Pro sports a 6.39-inch FHD+(2340×1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 91.9% screen-to-body ratio because of pop-up camera design. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 at front and back.

 

Under the hood, it gets the flagship Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 GPU. The device also has 8 layers of 3D graphite sheet for better heat dissipation and sports Game Turbo 2.0 for better gaming.

All this is backed by up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage that is not expandable. Connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS (Dual Band), GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C.

The triple camera set up of the K20 Pro has a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.75 aperture lens and 0.8μm pixel size. It has an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture offering 2X zoom and a 13MP wide-angle lens with 124.8-degree FOV.

There is a 20MP pop-up front camera with f/2.0 aperture and AI face unlock feature.

The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support that can charge the phone in an hour. Dimensions of the handset are 156.7×74.3×8.8mm and its weight is 191g. It also comes with a Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9340 Hi-Fi audio chip.

The Redmi K20 also has the same 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also has a pop-up selfie camera design with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and thus offers a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio.

The K20 is powered by a new Snapdragon 730 processor with Adreno 618 GPU and packs 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. It comes with 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

In terms of camera, it has a 48MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture, Sony IMX582 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, an 8MP telephoto lens for 2x lossless zoom, and a 13MP 124.8° ultra-wide sensor. There is a 20MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GP, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C. It also packs a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

The smartphones run on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. Both the phones have a 3D glass design that comes in Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Carbon Fiber Black colors with flame pattern in blue and red and kevlar gradient texture in black.
