WhatsApp is lately getting a whole bunch of new updates, some of them are subtle while some of them are really helpful. In the recent update, we got some really useful updates that can help you in many ways. Some of these features are exclusive to iOS only while some of them are exclusive to the Android OS only.
Call Waiting for iOS
Call waiting for iOS is a new feature where you will be able to see a notification on calling screen if the other person is busy. And if you are getting a new call while you are already on a call then you will be notified too. You can hang up the current cal and pick up the other one with just a button. You will be connected to the other call and the current call will hang up.
Personal Invitation for Group joining
This is again an iOS only update which makes you immune to the group joining invitation notifications. If you enable this feature then the admin of any group cannot send you an invitation to another group which you are in. The admin has to send you a personal invite to notify you about the group invite. This will make your account immune so you won’t get bothered by those annoying group joining invitations.
Self Destructing Messages
Self-destructing messages is an upcoming feature for Android smartphones and it does as it says. You will be able to send a self-destructing message which will delete itself from your as well as the receiver’s chat after the desired time period. You will be able to set the self-destructing time to an hour, a day, a week, a month, all the way up to a year.
Picture in Picture for WhatsApp Web
Picture in Picture feature has been rolled out in Android and iOS a long time ago and this feature has finally released to the web version of WhatsApp. This feature will be useful for all the users who use the web version of WhatsApp quite often. This feature will play all the videos from Youtube links, Instagram and other supported websites in a small pop-up window. This way, you won’t have to switch to a new tab to watch the video.
