Redmi India has announced that it will launch a New Redmi Note smartphone in the country on March 12. The company has shared a teaser on social media that says that ‘A new #RedmiNote is coming on 12th March’. So, the company may launch only one phone and we’re not sure if both the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro will be launched at that event.

Redmi Note 9, Note 9 Pro Specs
Further, the teaser image shows a ‘9’ and quad-cameras arranged in a square setup. We have already seen quad-cameras on Redmi Note 8 series smartphones, but this new square setup suggests that this time Xiaomi may opt for a new telephoto lens instead of a depth sensor. This is only one speculation that can be done from the teaser.
Moreover, Xiaomi India Head, Manu Kumar Jain also shared a picture for the same announcement. The picture shows a hidden phone that looks like having a 3D glass back in blue color.
We have already seen the glass back on Redmi Note 8 Pro, so this is not a surprise. Further, we can also the speaker grill, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm jack in the image.
Apart from these small details, no other information is currently available on Redmi Note 9 series. Xiaomi India on its website made a page for the Redmi Note 9 Pro that suggests its possible specs. It says that the phone will come with a new processor.
The page also says about the battery and charging. It is expected that the Redmi Note 9 series will come with a big battery and fast charging.
If we talk about pricing, the Redmi Note 9 series may start at the same price at which the Redmi Note 8 series started. So, we can expect Redmi Note 9 Pro price in India may be around Rs. 14,999.
We will have to wait for a few days when more things about these upcoming phones appear online.
