The Chinese smartphone maker Realme has seen tremendous growth in global markets, including India, since the very beginning. And now, the giant is planning to enter the smart television segment to offer a neck and neck competition to Xiaomi.

Notably, Realme was supposed to unveil its first smart TV at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020. However, the cancellation of the event following the Coronavirus outbreak delayed the launch until the lockdown gets over. The same is the case with the company’s Narzo-lineup.

Realme TV India Launch: Here’s what to expect!

As per the BIS listing spotted by @stufflistings, the company is expected to launch two different smart television models. The series will initially comprise of a 43-inch model, followed by a larger 55-inch variant. Other models will be launched at a later date.

The 55-inch model, to be specific, is speculated to bear a 4K Ultra-HD QLED display (with quantum-dot technology and HDR support), akin to the premium televisions from Samsung.

The smart TV-series is said to run the latest version of AndroidTV. Plus, it’s likely to get custom skin in the form of a forked version of the RealmeOS on top. The TV will also support OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hotstar.
